Ministries
Care Groups
Small groups, or CARE groups, are informal small group Bible studies, which are designed to meet in members’ homes. The objectives of a CARE group are illustrated in the acronym: Christians Affirming,Renewing and Extending. CARE groups offer new Christians, mature Christians, and non-Christians alike a chance to discover real-life applications for Bible truths and build deep, genuine Christian relationships in a relaxed, informal setting.
For additional information on a care group that meets in your area, contact Ken Jones.
Counseling Ministry
Don’t we all need someone who will listen? Here at the Melbourne Church of Christ we want to meet this need in a loving way. We have many ways in which we accomplish this: through our ministers, elders, brothers and sisters. We also have a counselor on staff. There are many reasons why someone may want to speak with a counselor: past and present emotional trauma, fears, stressors, relationship issues, divorce, addictions, guilt, etc. Sometimes we could just use someone to talk to that will listen with a supportive and empathetic ear. This is available for our members, member’s family and friends as well as our community, at no charge.
Please contact our counselor Ken Jones with questions or counseling needs at 321-723-8233 or email at ken@melbournechurchofchrist.org

Food Pantry
A very important ministry for our congregation is our Food Pantry. The purpose of this ministry is to provide food to those in need in our church family and our community. As we help others, God blesses us, and the number of families served continues to grow every week.
We also provide job training material, low-cost health care information, and other community resource information. If you would like for us to pray for you, we are happy to accept your prayer requests, and we offer Bible study for those interested.
Our Food Pantry is open on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. See Harold & Betty McGee if you would like to help with this great ministry.
Your donations of canned or non-perishable items are always welcomed and appreciated.
Thank you for your generosity.
Involvement Ministry
The Involvement Ministry is designed to assist those who are seeking to clarify their personal spiritual gifts given to them by God, and ministry opportunities in our church and community. This ministry is designed to help guide and bring people and ministries together. We want to assist in identifying and clarifying one’s gifts and help match people up with a desired ministry. There are many opportunities to serve in our congregation. All are encouraged and welcome to become involved.
Please contact Ken Jones, Involvement Minister, the church office, or any of our loving, hard working individuals already involved in our ministries. Contact Ken at 321-723-8233 or ken@melbournechurchofchrist.org.

Music Ministries
At the Melbourne Church, we want to provide opportunities for those with special talents, such as singing and music, to share in ministry to others. We have two such groups of singers who work closely together and provide encouragement through music.
The Melbourne Family Singers share their gift of music at nursing homes twice a month. Anyone is welcome to join them as they encourage others in song.
The Melbourne Ensemble performs during the Christmas season and shares special music at funerals and other occasions throughout the year. The Ensemble is currently learning new music to expand their repertoire. Songs from this repertoire will be taught to the congregation.
If you’d like more information about having The Ensemble sing for your occasion or if you’d like to know how you might become involved in the music ministry please contact our church office .
